Metsi’s Wood-Fired Italian

Your neighborhood spot for wood-fired Italian cuisine and fine drink.

Classic Italian cuisine wood-fired over an open-hearth for authentic Regressive Cooking. Located in the heart of the Short North, Metsi's two-floor restaurant has three unique dining spaces that offer cozy, airy, cavernous, intimate, and open environments.

Regressive Cooking

re·gres·sive cook·ing
(/rəˈɡresiv ˈko͝okiNG/)

Italian cuisine was born over live fire. By embracing wood and flame, we’re chasing the deepest, truest flavors that defined the cuisine’s earliest days. This is regressive cooking — a return to the roots.

The Hearth

At the center of our open kitchen and main dining room stands a ten-foot, custom-built wood-fired hearth — the true soul of Metsi’s.
